Information
Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid that is used as a fuel source by the cells lining the intestinal tract and is thus essential to maintain the health and integrity of the intestinal wall.
Butyric acid is normally produced by the breakdown of fibres contained in wholefoods, fruits and vegetables by intestinal bacteria. However, in cases where low levels of intestinal bacteria are present or when a low fibre diet is consumed, production of butyric acid can be reduced.

BioCare was the first company to introduce butyric acid in the form of calcium and magnesium butyrate in the UK.

NOTE: This product has a strong sour smell which is completely normal.

Recommended Intake
One capsule taken three times a day with food or as professionally directed.
